Time to first release comes first
A product that is not in front of users is not learning anything. We plan every engagement around the earliest useful release.
About Sharp Minds
Sharp Minds was founded in Ferizaj, Kosovo by software engineer Ardit Limani after seeing too many good ideas lose momentum in slow delivery. We built a company where an experienced lead, a fixed first scope and a weekly demo are the default, and where clients own everything we make.
Who we are
Sharp Minds is a software outsourcing company based in Ferizaj, Kosovo. We provide dedicated development teams and end-to-end product delivery to startups and growing businesses in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, the Nordics and North America. Our services cover MVP development, custom software, web and mobile applications, AI integration, UX/UI design, cloud and DevOps, quality assurance, SEO and digital design.
We are deliberately small. Every engagement is led by an engineer who has shipped products before, works in the client's tools and reports directly to the client. There is no account-management layer between you and the people writing your code.
A product that is not in front of users is not learning anything. We plan every engagement around the earliest useful release.
Open repositories, shared boards and straight answers, including when something is late.
Code, infrastructure, designs and IP belong to the client from the first commit.
A few engineers with direct client contact instead of large teams and coordination layers.
Kosovo
Kosovo offers a young, technically educated and English-speaking workforce in the Central European time zone, uses the euro, has a data protection law modelled on the GDPR and has been steadily aligning with the EU through its Stabilisation and Association Agreement. Combined with rates well below Western Europe, it gives clients nearshore collaboration without offshore friction.
A large share of the population is under 30, and universities in Prishtina and across the country produce a steady pipeline of computer science and engineering graduates.

Source: STIKK, Kosovo ICT AssociationThe Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU has been in force since 2016, and Kosovo citizens have travelled visa-free to the Schengen area since January 2024, which makes on-site workshops simple.

Kosovo is on CET/CEST, the same as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and the Nordics, and one hour ahead of the UK.
How we hire
Every engineer at Sharp Minds passes a technical interview, a paired coding session on a real problem and an English communication check. We hire for ownership, curiosity and clear writing, because remote collaboration runs on written communication.
Partners
We build long-term relationships with product companies and partners in proptech, education and consumer technology.
